32 Weeks Pregnant

So, your week 32 is here and there are only eight weeks left behind. As the due date approaches near, a feeling of stress and confusion may take hold of you. You have to fight with your feelings and keep yourself relaxed. Here in this week, we will talk about another pregnancy hormone called relaxin that affects the pregnant women.
MOM
Your body now starts producing the pregnancy hormones known as relaxin. These hormones in fact prepare your body for birth by relaxing your pelvis ligaments. These hormones are essential to make your baby move through the birth canal without much of obstruction. However, these hormones also cause you to waddle (duck-like walk). As your ligaments get relaxed by these hormones, you will start waddle. These are however disappeared when you will give birth to your baby.
In the last few weeks several different pregnancy discomforts take hold of you and you are forced to take some over-the counter medication to relieve yourself. This is however not suggested to use these over-the-counter medications without the consultation of your GYN/OB or midwife. The best possible ways is to use natural means to relieve your discomforts such as massage, stretching, exercise alongside the healthy, nutritious diet.
BABY
Your baby is growing quickly and at the same time gaining weight as well. The weight of your baby may be double from now onwards till the birth. Generally, at this stage of pregnancy, the baby usually weighs around 1.7 kilograms and by the time of birth it might be somewhere 3.5 kilograms.
The movements of your baby are now very limited. This is because of her immense growth in the uterus as result of which she doesn’t have enough space to move as freely as she moved few weeks before.
At this stage of pregnancy, you may notice that your baby sleep majority of the day time, to say 90%.
DAD
Mood swings continue to be there with your partner. Throughout her pregnancy you have noticed these different phases of mood swings in her character. The appearance of relaxin hormones again put your partner into an uncomfortable position as she doesn’t have control over her emotions. Only eight weeks are left, just be patient and be as supportive as possible to make her feel good, calm and relaxed.
This is the end of week 32 and from the next week you will have to start preparing for the labor time.
Tip of the Week
Keep performing some pelvis floor exercises.
